NICKOLAUS BAUER

For more than two decades, I have worked at the intersection of journalism, storytelling and social impact. My career has taken me from the corridors of power and conflict zones to communities often overlooked by the mainstream, producing investigations, documentaries and feature stories that inform, challenge and inspire.

As a journalist, I have reported for leading broadcasters and publications in South Africa, across Africa and in Europe, covering politics, business, crime, social issues and international affairs. As an author, I have written books that make complex subjects accessible to wider audiences. I am also a co-founder of Dlala Nje, a Johannesburg-based social impact organisation creating opportunities for young people through tourism, education and community development.

Based in Madrid, I also work as an English-speaking videographer, helping businesses, organisations and individuals tell their stories through compelling visual content. Whether I am investigating a story, producing a documentary, filming a project, writing a book or developing a community initiative, my focus remains the same: telling meaningful stories, uncovering the truth and creating work that leaves a lasting impact.
